Steel Roots were commissioned by AMT PostPro to design and build a trade stand for FormNext, Frankfurt between 2019 and 2022. In 2019 and 2021 I was working on the Sheffield pre-build and Frankfurt installation/deinstallation, and 2022 was brought in during the design phase.

2019 involved working with 3D printed parts and aluminium tubing to create a modular, customisable trade stand system that showcased at it’s core the abilities of the PostPro system of 3D print finishing.

In 2021 the stand doubled in size and was produced using laser-cut box steel, with an industrial, factory floor feel; putting Sheffield’s steel industry at the forefront of the design.

2022 saw the stand double in size again, and was spread over 2 floors. Constructed mainly from Leyher scaffolding, bridging 3 shipping containers that housed a bar, staff room, and meeting space.
